well, i finally tried to fix some of the format of the catechim. It still is not pretty. I am being foiled by the formatting device. I apologize. Enjoy.
Also, if you have suggestions for the catechism, please send them in. This is definately a work in process.

Catechism update
February 25, 2008
the burns’ family catechism
January 26, 2008There came a time about two years ago when i realized that my kids were not going to naturally come into an understanding of theology. I felt that even thought my kids were getting a top-notch education from our children’s ministry at church, they were still not able to come close to putting the concepts of who God is and how He has chosen to interract with us. So, I though a catechism would be helpful, thought he idea originally wierded me out due to the sense of liturgical formaility i associate with the word. I looked around but all of the ones i found used ancient english, were dealing with theological topics i either dont embrace or dont think are all that importaint for a 5 yr old (ie. the covenant of works), or a complexity of wordage that does not click with a 3-7 yr old mind. So, I tried making my own. The kids call them “The Questoins”. This is version #4. Some topics are under-represented. Some questions are just not that good. I am constantly refining them. I have a number of friends who wanted these so I figure i would just post them here. Feel free to take and tweak if you desire. You will find them on the left side of the screen, under “Pages” .
Personally, i have the questions split up into a yellow booklet and a red booklet that I let the kids pick from. I try to get them to give repsonses to the answers verbatum to help with precision in their thoughts about God and to help with their memory.
